I still remember 40 years ago while I still in primary school, my father always held my hand and walk step by step from the school to have a simple breakfast in a Chinese Kopitiam, sitting on a wooden made table and a wooden chair without a backrest, although a little hard but still comfortable at the time, with the crumbling dust-covered ceiling fan and the gentle breeze, my father would always order two half boiled eggs and a small cup of hot Milo, and pour the hot Milo on a small plate to dissipate heat and let me drink it quickly.

My father was the superintendent (leader of the principal) of Chinese School in Negeri Sembilan at that time, and he was also a great enlightener in my life. Our family was poor and we ate our own organic vegetable every day. I still remember the first time I tasted drumstick when I was in my 21 years old. The taste, the past is still vivid in my mind. At that time, not many families in the village had the opportunity to eat meat. Everyone ate it from their own small farms. At that time, there was only one hospital in the town, serving the only purpose of giving birth.
